what we believe and teach...

Our church is grounded on a sure foundation, one “not built by human hands” (II Corinthians 5:1). Our church is built on the sure foundation of God’s Word. Everything we believe and teach comes from the Bible and the Bible alone.

Even more, our church is built on the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:19-20).

Everything we believe and teach, everything we do in worship, and everything in life is built on our crucified and risen Savior, Jesus Christ. Now we live in thanks and joy, serving him daily as he lives and rules in our hearts as King.

With the Bible as our solid foundation, and with Jesus as our Chief Cornerstone, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, hangs all of its beliefs and teaching on these three Biblical doctrines:

• We are saved by God’s grace alone (Galatians 4:4-5; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 11:6; I John 1:7).

• We are saved through faith alone (John 3:16-18; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:28).

• What we believe is from Scripture alone (Matthew 28:20; John 8:31; II Timothy 3:15-16).

Everything else that we believe and teach in our church flows from these three main teachings.
